How to Clear Your Browser's Cache

Frequent webinar attendance can lead to cached data accumulating in your browser, which may sometimes cause issues for both presenters and attendees.

Webinar.net temporarily stores platform data, and clearing your cache can help resolve problems that arise from platform updates or corrupted files preventing pages from loading properly.

Most browsers, by default, only clear cached data from the last few hours or days. However, performing a full All Time cache clear can be more effective in resolving persistent issues. This guide will walk you through the steps to completely clear your cache and minimize page loading problems.


Firefox

How to Clear Cache in Firefox

  1. Click the menu button (hamburger icon) and select Options.

  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.

  3. In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data….

  4. Uncheck Cookies and Site Data, leaving only Cached Web Content checked.

  5. Click Clear.

  6. Close the about:preferences page; changes will be saved automatically.

Alternative Method:

  1. Click the Library button (bookshelf icon), then click History > Clear Recent History…

  2. Set Time range to clear to Everything.

  3. Check Cache (uncheck other items if you want to keep them).

  4. Click Clear Now.


Chrome

How to Clear Cache in Chrome

On Computer:

  1. Open Chrome.

  2. Click More (three dots icon) in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Clear browsing data.

  4. Choose a time range (select All time to clear everything).

  5. Check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.

  6. Click Clear data.

On Android:

  1. Open the Chrome app.

  2. Tap More (three dots icon) > History > Clear browsing data.

  3. Choose a time range (select All time to clear everything).

  4. Check Cookies and site data and Cached images and files.

  5. Tap Clear data.

On iPhone/iPad:

Before clearing cache & cookies: Your browser may sign you out of your Google Account.

  1. Open the Chrome app.

  2. Tap More (three dots icon) at the bottom.

  3. Tap History > Clear browsing data.

  4. Ensure Cookies, Site Data, and Cached Images and Files are checked.

  5. Tap Clear browsing data.


Microsoft Edge

How to Clear Cache in Microsoft Edge

  1. Click the gear icon (gear icon) in the top-right corner, then select Settings.

  2. Navigate to Privacy, Search, and Services.

  3. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.

  4. Select Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files (or any other items you want to clear).

  5. Click Clear now.


Safari

How to Clear Cache in Safari (Mac)

  1. Click Safari in the menu bar and select Preferences.

  2. Click the Advanced tab and check Show Develop menu in menu bar.

  3. Close the Preferences window.

  4. Click Develop in the menu bar, then select Empty Caches.

Optional: Clear Browsing History

  1. Click the History tab.

  2. Select Clear History.

  3. Choose a time range (Last hour, Today, Today and Yesterday, or All history).

  4. Click Clear History.

How to Clear Cache in Safari (iPhone, iPad, iPod)

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Scroll down and tap Safari.

  3. Tap Clear History and Website Data.
