Allow access to camera, microphone, and screen recording in your operating system

Before webinar.net can reach your equipment, you need to make sure your browser has allowed full access to the camera, microphone, and screen recording functions.

Upon first joining the presenter console. You will receive on-screen prompts from your browser to allow the use of both Camera and Microphone:

Most times, this prompt is located in the top left corner.


It's important to allow both the video and the audio controls, regardless of how you intend to appear. Rest assured, if you've selected the audio-only options when connecting, we won't stream your camera feed!


Windows 10:

To use your camera with your browser on Windows, you will need to turn on the permission of Camera settings. Here is how:

Step 1. Select Start > Settings > Privacy > Camera. In “Allow access to the camera on this device”, select “Change” to make sure “Camera access for this device” is turned on.

Note: If you can’t change the Camera access settings, you will need an administrator on the device to turn it on for you.

Step 2. Find “Allow apps to access your camera” and make sure it is turned on.

Step 3. Find “Allow desktop apps to access your camera”, make sure it is turned on.

Step 4. Then, go back to Privacy and do the same for Microphone.

Windows 11:

Step 1. Select Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Camera, then make sure “Camera access” is turned on.

Note: If you can’t change the Camera access settings, you will need an administrator on the device to turn it on for you.

Step 2. Find “Let apps access your camera” and make sure it is turned on.

Step 3. Find “Let desktop apps access your camera” and make sure it is turned on.

Step 4. Then, go back to Privacy & security and do the same for Microphone.

MacOS Ventura 13 +:

Step 1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Privacy & Security in the sidebar.

Step 2. Click Camera

Step 3. Select the checkbox next to your browser to allow it to access your camera.

Step 4. Then, go back to the Privacy list and do the same for Microphone and Screen Recording.

macOS Monterey 12 and below:

Step 1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy , then click Privacy.

Step 2. Select Camera.

Step 3. Select the checkbox next to your browser to allow it to access your camera.

Step 4. Then, go back to the Privacy list and do the same for Microphone and Screen Recording.
