Take your global outreach a step further with our Live Audio Translation add-on. While captions provide an essential visual aid, this feature allows your international audience to experience your presentation in their preferred language through a real-time, automated audio stream.
By seamlessly integrating transcription, translation, and speech synthesis services, Live Audio Translation transforms your spoken words into a localized listening experience. This powerful tool ensures your message is accessible and impactful to attendees worldwide, enabling them to engage with your content more naturally and effectively.
Configuring the Live Audio Translation
Prerequisite: Configure Live Closed Captioning First
Because Live Audio Translation relies on the text generated by our captioning service, you must first enable and configure the Live Closed Captioning feature.
Once the translation languages have been selected, the Live Audio Translation dropdown will appear. From there, you can select the target audio translation:
Click the Select a language dropdown menu.
Choose one of the selected translation languages.
Click the Select voice link that appears.
A window will open displaying available voice profiles.
You can click the Preview sample text button to hear how each voice sounds before making a selection.
NOTE: Voices are currently limited to select languages. See Important Notes section.
After finding the right fit, click the Select button.
Click the Save button on the Live Closed Captioning configuration window, and you're done!
Live Audio Translation in the Presenter Console
Once the live audio translation is ready, you can preview the translated stream by clicking the Preview translated stream hyperlink below the Media Player box.
The Audience Stream Player will then pop out, pushing the translated audio:
Presenter Best Practices
To ensure the highest quality translation, we recommend that presenters:
Speak at a Moderate Pace: Avoid rushing through your content.
Use Deliberate Pauses: The system processes audio in segments. Pausing briefly at the end of sentences helps the services generate a more natural and accurate translated stream. If a presenter speaks without pausing, the system may wait longer to process the audio, leading to interruptions in the translated feed.

For the audience, a globe icon with the target language translation will appear once the live audio translation is ready:
When clicked, the player will display a switching language message and will push the translated audio:
Important Notes
Live Events Only: This feature is currently available for Live webinars only and is not supported for Pre-Recorded Live (PRL) sessions.
Single-Language Support: Currently, you can only select one target language per live session to provide a focused experience for a specific international audience.
Available Languages: Only voices for the following languages are available for translation:
English
French
Spanish
Portuguese
Simplified Chinese
