This article walks you through how to seamlessly run a conference call webinar while offering slides without a broadcast delay. Whether you're hosting earnings calls or high-stakes presentations, this guide ensures your setup provides a professional user journey.

Begin by creating your webinar, you'll want to add a new component for the conference call. Navigate over to the interface builder and follow the steps below.

Adding and Configuring the Conference Call Component

  1. In the Interface Builder, locate the Conference Call component in the components list to add it to your webinar interface.

  2. After adding the component, click on the configure gear to enter the conference call details for your audience members:

    • Holding Screen Head
      Add a header to inform users about joining via conference call, e.g., "Join by conference call."

    • Dial Instruction Text
      Provide instructions for dialing into the conference call, e.g., "Please dial into the conference call using the information below."

    • Dial Options
      Click Add Option to input the phone number(s) or access options for the conference call.

    • Conference ID
      Input the Conference ID required for participants to join.

    • Require PIN (Optional)
      If applicable, check the box and provide the required PIN information.

    • View Slides Instruction Text
      Add instructions for participants to access the slides, e.g., "You can view the slides by clicking the button below."

    • View Slides Button Label
      Specify the label for the button, such as "Enter."

  3. Preview and Save using the Preview Holding Screen button to review how the holding screen will appear for participants. Once satisfied with the configuration, click Save.

Private URL for Real-Time Slides

Once the Conference Call component is added, you will find a new Real-Time Slides tab added to the Webinar Links appearing menu.

Webinar.net will generate a unique Audience URL for registrants who need additional prompts or information when joining the conference call.


Follow these next steps:

Click the Generate button to create a private URL for real-time slide viewing and access to the conference bridge information.

Note: Only registrants who join using this private URL will see the holding screen with your conference bridge information.


Audience View

With the Conference Call component added, the audience will see the following welcome screen:

  • Join by webcast: Audiences will enter the webinar as usual.

  • Join by conference call: Audiences will see the conference call details, including dial-in information and instructions.


Audince Console Views

  • If the audience clicks Join by webcast, the component will display the call information, along with a switch to transition over to real-time slides:

  • If the audience clicks Join by conference call, the component will still display the call info, along with the same switch to transition over to the default webcast mode:
