Want to bring the familiarity of Microsoft Teams into your high-stakes webinar? This guide will walk you through how to use a Microsoft Teams meeting as your live presentation source by leveraging RTMP streaming.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure your Microsoft Teams application has the necessary permissions to install third-party apps.
How to Stream from Microsoft Teams
Step 1: Configure Your Webinar Presentation Source
Log in to my.webinar.net and create a new webinar.
Set the Presentation Source to RTMP Stream.
NOTE: If you are using an existing webinar, you can update this setting in the General Settings page.
Step 2: Get Your RTMP Credentials
To integrate with Teams, you need a specific "address":
Open the Presenter Console.
Click the RTMP Setup icon to open the configuration window.
Step 3: Install the "Custom Streaming" App in Teams
Head over to your Microsoft Teams meeting:
Click the Apps icon in the top navigation bar.
Search for Custom Streaming.
Select the app and click Save to install it into your meeting.
Step 4: Link Teams to Your Webinar
In the Teams Custom Streaming app sidebar, copy the Server Address from your webinar.net RTMP Setup window into the Stream URL field.
Copy the Stream Key from webinar.net into the Stream Key field in Teams.
Step 5: Go Live with the Stream
Click Start streaming within the Teams app.
A confirmation prompt will appear asking to share meeting content. Click Allow.

Step 6: Start Your Presentation
Once the stream is successfully connected, you are ready for your audience. Click the Start button in the Presenter Console to begin broadcasting to your attendees.
How to Properly End Your Session
To ensure your recording and attendee experience conclude smoothly, follow this specific order:
Click the End button in the webinar.net Presenter Console.
End your Microsoft Teams meeting.
DO NOT click "Stop streaming" within the Teams app before ending the webinar.
